Hello to everyone who visited my stand at The Creative Crafts Show, Esher.

Apologies that not everyone was able to have a go at the workshop - if you can, visit me at Shepton Mallet or Malvern where I will be running the workshop again. I recommend arriving very early so that you are first in the queue!

Hopefully everyone who has been playing with the shrink polyester is having fun. I can't wait to get my sewing machine out later this week to start work again.

The car is packed and ready for travelling to Sandown tomorrow. Get there early if you want to make sure of a place on one of the workshops.

The new collection of handbags made from recycled jumpers is ready, plus some linen shopping bags and a hemp shoulder bag.

I am busily making handbags from jumpers. See the new ones at The Creative Crafts Show, Sandown Park, Esher 19th - 21st January. This red one was sold last year at Killerton to a lovely Italian lady.



If you want to have a go at making your own 'Jumper to Handbag' I will be running a weekend workshop at The Orchard Learning Studios in Gunnislake on 12th and 13th May. Ideal for upcycling a loved but unworn jumper.

2012 has started with all sewing machines working hard! I am busy preparing handbags for the first of the shows at Sandown Park, Esher 19th - 21st January. For details of the show visit www.sccshows.co.uk

The first workshop will be the UFO day at Old Heathcoat School Community Centre in Tiverton on 10th January. Bring along your 'unfinished objects' to give them a boost or if you have forgotton a technique and need a reminder then this is the ideal day for you. There is no need to book in advance but it is helpful if you can let me know you are coming - phone or email.

Keep checking the website - my new year resolution is to try to update it more frequently... and learn how to put photos on it!
