Welcome to my website. I am a textile artist and tutor living in the beautiful county of Devon.

Sewing and creating have been part of my everyday life from a very early age, and I am now lucky enough to be able to follow my passion to create using fabric and stitch.

Today my work encompasses a range of techniques and materials and my main inspirations are the colours and textures that I see around me everyday.

Using recycled and reclaimed materials in my work I will layer, print, manipulate and piece fabrics, which are then embellished with free motion embroidery. But that is not to say that I don’t get tempted by the vast array of new fabrics which are available.

From my embroidered textiles I create handbags, cushions and small art works.

I also make simple patchwork quilts, which either stay as quilts, or have further embellishment and stitch to make them into unique wallhangings.

Through my workshops and at events I am able to share these techniques and hopefully inspire others to create using fabric and stitch. I teach a range of creative textile workshops and also run social sewing days – Coffee and Cloth – in Tiverton and South Brent. I also teach at other local venues and travel to groups and guilds in the south west and beyond.

A new year of sewing and creativity - 2024

The new year is underway and already my mind is fizzing with ideas for keeping busy and creative.

The workshops for this year are on the workshop page. As usual bookings are coming in quickly, but there are still places available. I am also able to put on extra dates if required.

I am looking forward to being at the Craft4Crafters Show in April. I will be next to the Jam on Top stand and we will be showcasing the opportunities available at this lovely venue. I will also be teaching two workshops a day at the show - look out for more information soon.

Keep sewing and creating.
